MyZen.Blog Virtual Tours attached
I was so happy to tick the Shanghai Maglev train (top speed of 431 km/h (268 mph), is the fastest train in China. Note to self BYO food next time. The food on board was absolutely awful and expensive!), Tieman Square and The Forbidden City off my bucket list. Magical, beautiful, historic, and modern Beijing or Peking.. place of famous Peking duck.
First thing you notice in Beijing is the many soldiers in addition to security. So clean, such beautiful gardens and old and new world breathtaking. It was also very hot.. like misty tropical and then without warning it rains. The people are mostly nice but every so often a taxi or rickshaw will harass for business. Twice I felt they went over the top. My tour guide took us to places where you can be shown and then buy things.. no doubt with a cut. My hair always looked awful in China..lol.
No idea why no one wears masks with such bad air quality.. probably because they are useless. I could have used a few more days to see a few more things but decided to be safe considering the air quality. I seriously need to go again! Enjoy the virtual tours.
